The San Francisco 49ers could trade wide receiver Torrey Smith this season as they continue to struggle in 2016. According to NFL trade deadline rumors, multiple teams are interested in the sixth year pro with the Philadelphia Eagles as one of the teams that can possibly land the 27-year-old WR.
The 49ers are reportedly also trying to trade left tackle Joe Staley and quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Smith signed a five-year deal worth $40 million in San Francisco in 2015. He previously played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2011 to 2014 after being drafted in the second round of the 2011 draft.

San Francisco as a team has struggled this year. Smith is also struggling with just 13 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns this 2016 season. Smith is durable and has played 87 straight regular season games. Smith’s best year came in 2013 when he had 1,128 receiving yards on 65 catches with four touchdowns.
NFL Trade Deadline Rumors as Nov. 1 approaches
The 49ers are just 1-6 this season and are on their way to being eliminated early for a spot in the NFL postseason. Trading some of their veterans like Smith, Kaepernick and Staley can be better for a franchise that wants to make moves for the future.
The Eagles are 4-2 and just 1 game behind the NFC East leaders Dallas Cowboys (5-2). Philadelphia wants to contend for a Super Bowl and getting a veteran like Smith can help them this regular season and the NFL playoffs.
The NFL trade deadline rumors will continue until Nov. 1.
