The reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions are the unlikely trio of Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Dubbed as the new Wyatt Family, they have taken over SmackDown’s tag team division in the past couple of months.
How long will this new Wyatt Family last?
Randy Orton was in the middle of a feud with Bray Wyatt when he decided to join them instead. It was an odd pairing at first but their chemistry made up for it. Now, they are the SmackDown tag team champs and they are here to stay.
However, many fans expect Orton to turn on Bray next year. The trio has been teasing it on live events already although nothing has been confirmed at the moment. The new Wyatt Family is better if they last because Bray and Harper benefit from it.
Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33
According to Sportskeeda, WWE officials are planning to turn Orton on The Wyatt Family at the Royal Rumble. The betrayal will surely reignite the feud between The Viper and The Eater of Worlds. It also sets the stage for a big showdown at WrestleMania 33.
If Bray works with Orton at WrestleMania, it gives quite a great resume at the event but his record says otherwise. He already lost to John Cena and The Undertaker while also getting buried by The Rock this year.
Other plans for the new Wyatt Family
One of the current plans for Randy Orton and The Wyatt Family is a feud with American Alpha next year, The Inquisitr. The WWE can always hold until WrestleMania for the official match as it is the perfect time for AA to win the tag titles.
