English Premier League (EPL) club Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is set to receive a massive blow as striker target Alexandre Lacazette has confirmed his commitment to Ligue 1 outfit, Lyon.
The striker has revealed that he would like to surpass a personal milestone of 30 goals this season. He confirmed that there will be no departure in the current summer transfer window and that he is happy to stay at Lyon, according to Mirror.

Lacazette is only three goals short of reaching his target. The 25-year-old is in the form of his life and will certainly reach the milestone before the transfer window closes on August 31, 2016, if he manages to carry on his superb form.
The striker has already scored a total of five goals since the season started. He opened his tally by scoring a hat-trick in the first match of the season and then followed it up with a brace against Caen.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker, if they want to challenge for the Premier League trophy this season. However, with the rejection by the France international, Arsene Wenger will be in a difficult situation to bring in a quality goalscorer, given their lack of availability in the market.
Lacazette should have been an easy capture for Arsenal, given that he is very few of the quality strikers who play outside the European elite clubs. He would have certainly received a much higher pay package than what he is currently getting at Lyon. But, even with all the advantages under their belt, Arsenal still managed to fail in their pursuit of the player.
The Gunners might still want to test the resolve of the player and the club going into the deadline day of the summer transfer window. However, it looks like Arsene Wenger and his company will have to look elsewhere.
