La Liga giants Barcelona are looking towards a future without their famous attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar. With Neymar being the youngest of the three, Suarez and Messi are Blaugrana’s immediate concern with the latter yet to agree to a contract extension on his current deal which expires at the end of the next season.
Barcelona is currently interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Antoinne Griezmann in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Catalan giants are looking to add more depth to their already fearsome attacking options. They are currently the favorites ahead of Manchester United, who are also interested in signing the Frenchman.
Paco Alcacer, the current Barcelona striker, is touted to leave the club after failing to adjust his life in Catalonia. Griezmann is seen as the perfect replacement by the Blaugrana management who could provide quality support to the trio of Messi, Neymar, and Suarez upfront, according to Mundo Deportivo.
How does Griezmann fare against MSN?
Given the impact the trio of Messi, Suarez, and Neymar has had in Barcelona, it will be a tough ask for Griezmann to slot into the first-team right away. However, looking at his stats compared against MSN, the Frenchman is at par with his numbers.
Griezmann is a player with the potential to make an impact in any club in world football. The France international has been in an amazing form in La Liga since his Real Sociedad days. The 26-year-old has refined his game more since he moved into the Spanish capital under Atleti manager Diego Simeone.
At the moment, there aren’t many players in the La Liga who are in better form than Griezmann. David Cartlidge on beIN sports recently tweeted on the immense influence the Frenchman has had at the Vincente Calderon.
You see the belief and confidence there again with Atleti. I think Griezmann has played a big part here. He's lifted the team with level.

Paulo Dybala an alternative if Griezmann move fails
Juventus striker Paulo Dybala is another option for Barcelona if a move for Antoine Griezmann fails. The Argentine has set the field on fire in Turin since his move to Juventus from Palermo in 2015. The 23-year-old has shown traits of having the potential of being the best in the game.
Dybala has been constantly compared with his international teammate Lionel Messi. Both the players are similar if one notices their low center of gravity, brilliant left foot, and quick dribbling abilities. The Juventus ace has a flair which could be utilized by any top teams in world football, as reported by Metro.
Both Griezmann and Dybala are key cogs in their respective European super clubs. Hence, Barcelona needs to be looking a world-record transfer fee to even create an interest in signing either.
