Arsenal are preparing for life after Arsene Wenger and are looking at possible candidates to fill up the role. RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl is among the favorites to land the Emirates Stadium job should the Frenchman depart.
Wenger’s contract with Arsenal ends after the current season. This has fuelled speculation that the 67-year-old could depart after spending a remarkable time with The Gunners. The Frenchman has won three Premier League titles and six FA Cups since taking over in 1996.
The Arsenal board has already started shortlisting potential candidates to replace Wenger. Hasenhuttl along with Eddie Howe of Bournemouth are some of them, as reported by Phil Cadden of The Sun.
Replacing Wenger at the Emirates will be a huge task, given what the former AS Monaco man has done at London. However, given the job Hasenhuttl has done until now, he could be an interesting choice.
Hasenhuttl has done an amazing job this season with RB Leipzig, who currently sits at the top of the Bundesliga league table. They are ahead of the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The utilization of young players has been the key behind Leipzig’s success this season. The 49-year-old Hasenhuttl deserves credit for the way he has molded the team into a top performing unit.
The man from Graz, Austria is compared with the likes of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. This is because of his high energy and galvanizing presence on the sidelines. He has also been dubbed as the “Alpine Mourinho” in certain quarters of the football fraternity.
Hasenhuttl has gained success outside RB Leipzig as well. Before taking over the present job, he had an amazing spell with Ingolstadt. In three seasons, he guided the team from saving relegation in the third division to finishing 11th in the Bundesliga.
The transition from Rangnick to Hasenhuttl has been smooth as it gets, and the young players at the club hold a lot of potential.

Arsenal supporters will be hoping for a high profile name to replace Arsene Wenger, when he departs. The Premier League of late has been a league of world-class coaches. Hence, a non-household name may not quench the thirst of the Emirates faithful’s.
However, give the way Arsenal does their business; it won’t be surprising to see them hand over Wenger’s responsibilities to Hasenhuttl. They put the same faith in Wenger 20 years ago and the rest is history.
