Manchester United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho, United manager did not waste any time before starting his mind games ahead of facing his former club for the second time this season.

“Probably Chelsea can only think about that (the FA Cup) because I think they are champions and they have nothing else to fight for. The FA Cup is something I believe is important for them,” Mourinho said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“I have to play St Etienne (on Wednesday), I have to play the (League Cup) final, I have to play hopefully another opponent in the Europa League and have to fight for a top-four position in the Premier League. I have so many things to think about.”

This will be the first cup meeting between The Red Devils and The Blues since the same competition four years earlier. Chelsea edged United 1-0 in a home replay after drawing at Old Trafford.

Chelsea currently sit top of the Premier League table, eight points clear of second placed Manchester City. United, on the other hand still features in four competitions. Mourinho’s men are continuing to balance between Europa League, an EFL Cup final against Southampton, FA Cup and the Premier League.

Football pundits and fans were ecstatic after United were drawn against Chelsea. They took to Twitter to voice their opinions. Liam Canning, sports writer tweeted the game “to be a blockbuster” on his account.

This will be Mourinho’s second visit to Stamford Bridge as United manager this season. The Portuguese gaffer’s previous visit was in October, last year when Antonio Conte’s men piled misery on the Red Devils. Chelsea secured a 4-0 victory against the 20-time Premier League winners, according to Bleacher Report.

The Blues have been able to maintain their good run-of-form since then. They have become an incredible force in the Premier League. United, on the other hand have managed to overcome their sloppy start to the season. They are undefeated in the Premier League for the past four months. However, The Red Devils currently sit sixth in the Premier League table.

On Sunday, United had to come from a goa; behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers in the fifth-round of the FA Cup. Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the goals for the Red Devils, while Danny Graham scored the opener for the The Blue and Whites.
