Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that The Reds are well equipped to challenge for the Premier League title until the end of the season. However, the former Borussia Dortmund manager has warned that the players and supporters must focus on the present and not the past 25 years.
“We are not the last 25 years. We are now. We are this generation. Let’s do it and let’s try it. We are good enough and the club is big enough. We have the owners we need because they don’t want to sell players.” Klopp said to Sky Sports.
Liverpool are yet to win the Premier League title since the 1989/90 season. The Reds currently sit second in the league table, six points behind leaders Chelsea.
The 49-year-old has insisted that the club is big enough and the owners are great. No players are required to leave Anfield because of money.
“This moment at Liverpool is fantastic and we have to use it. We are in the present really good and the future is bright, so go for it.” Klopp added.
The Reds have had an inconsistent campaign until now. Klopp’s men were able to defeat the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea this season. However, they were on the receiving end of shocking defeats against Bournemouth and Burnley, as reported by The Telegraph.

The German gaffer has insisted that luck will play a major role in Liverpool’s bid of winning the Premier League. Moving through the rest of the campaign without injuries and delivering on the field at the right situations will be important.
The man from Stuttgart, West Germany believes that Chelsea are currently the best team in the league. However, come May next year, there will be a lot of surprises and it is too early to predict who will become eventual champions.
“When they go on like this they are the deserved champions, nobody could have a doubt about this” Klopp stated.
