The future of James Wilson at Manchester United looks bleak as the Red Devils youth product is set for another season out on loan at a Championship Club. Birmingham City is interested to hire the services of the 20-year-old as manager Gary Rowett looks to Bolster his attacking options.

New Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is looking to trim down his squad ahead of the new season and Wilson doesn’t feature in the Portuguese’s first-team options. A season out on loan would be beneficial for the players’ development rather than being stagnated in the Red Devils reserves, as reported by ESPN.

The Old Trafford dressing room already features the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in attack and Mourinho feels that his team has no place for James Wilson at the moment. Hence, a loan opportunity has risen and Birmingham City wishes to capitalize on it.

The United youth-academy product did spend time out on loan last season as well at Brighton. He scored five goals for the Seagulls, but was unable to help the club achieve promotion in the English Premier League.
