English Premier League (EPL) giant, Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford this summer. The Argentine wants to establish himself as a valuable asset under club manager Jose Mourinho in the new season.

The 26-year-old is so determined to play for the Red Devils this season that he has rejected a move to the cash rich Chinese Super League. It is rumored that Mourinho wants to cash in on the Argentina international in order to strengthen his defense by bringing in a better prospect at the club, according to Sky Sports.

Rojo has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford after the arrival of Eric Bailly from La Liga side Villareal this summer. The defender spent most of last season injured and is yet to find his rhythm during United’s pre-season friendly matches. Rojo’s cause has not been helped by the return to fitness of Luke Shaw as well.

Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Phil Jones are the other players in the center-back position for the Red Devils and Rojo has to do something extraordinary to leapfrog these players into the first-team.

Although Manchester United and Mourinho are desperate to bring in Paul Pogba to Old Trafford from Juventus, it is believed that the Portuguese is also interested to make some defensive additions to the squad.

The man from La Plata, Argentina signed for United in 2014 for $21 million. He has made a total of 51 appearances for the club and has found the net once.
