Real Madrid transfer news has declared a confirmed signing. Alvaro Morata has made an official switch from Italian Serie A side Juventus to La Liga side Real Madrid. But for how long will he be staying?
Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that Morata will be returning back to the Santiago Bernabéu. The Madrid giant activated a buy-back clause worth $35 million to bring back the Spanish international.
“Real Madrid C. F. have informed Juventus FC of their decision to salvage the federative rights on the player Álvaro Morata, who will join up with the first team for pre-season training under the command of Zinedine Zidane,” the official website of the club said.
The 23-year-old striker from Madrid was sold to Juventus for $22 million, 2 years ago. However, Los Blancos included a buy-back clause in their favor, which allowed them to capture a much-improved player than the one they sold.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like Real Madrid has purchased Morata to use him in their squad. The Spanish striker is targeted my most of the cash-rich English Premier League clubs and Madrid will be looking to make a huge profit from the forward.
This is not the first time the La Liga giants will attempt something like this. They have previously gone through the same process with buy-backs of Roberto Soldado, Samuel Eto’o, and Alvaro Negredo.
Real Madrid transfer news suggests that Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United are looking forward to acquiring Morata’s signature. However, it is Arsenal who is more likely to sign the Spaniard.
If rumors are to be believed then Arsenal have already agreed a Real Madrid transfer of the player for a fee of $72.50 million. The deal is supposedly completed even before Morata’s joining of Real Madrid from Juventus, as reported by Daily Star.
