For the third time in row players from Liverpool and Chelsea dominate the Sky Sports Power rankings. So, without much further ado, let us examine the top players in the English Premier League this week.

Also for the third straight week running Eden Hazard tops the list with fellow teammate Diego Costa pegged at the second position. Costa’s ranking has gone up two places and his match-winning goal against Middlesbrough was also his 10th goal of the season. It took place at the Riverside Stadium as per

Thibaut Courtois, the keeper of the blues’ maintained his clean sheet for the sixth time around. His ranking rose two spots to the sixth spot. Alonso and Pedro also feature in the Top 10. While Alonso rose up by one place to No. 4, Pedro slipped a spot to finish eighth in the rankings.

The Liverpool troika retains their places at the Table top. Coutinho falls down by one place to No. 3. Firmino too falls two places to No. 5. Sadio Mane somehow retains his place in the top 10 by falling four places to No. 10. This despite the unexpected draw against Southampton.


Victor Anichebe of Sunderland has stormed his way into the ranking’s top 10. He has been helped by his two goals against Hull. He jumped 65 places to No. 7 among the top players in the English Premier League.

Sergio Aguero of Manchester City retains his ninth-place as his teammate Yaya Toure leaps to number 36 after scoring two goals against Crystal Palace. This was his first appearance of the season and before long he is among the top players in the English Premier League this week.

Paul Pogba of Manchester United continued his gradual rise to the top by rising by two places to number 17. This followed a 1-1 draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford Saturday, according to the Daily Star.

The methodology used in the ranking accounts for no less than 32 Matchday statistics and awards points for the same to determine the top players in the English Premier League.
