Paris Saint-Germain right-back Gregory van der Wiel is soon going to be a free agent on the transfer market after his contract with the French club expires on June 30, 2016. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is extremely interested in signing the Dutch international as he wishes to strengthen his squad as The Hammers have a possibility of playing in the Europa League next season.

West Ham United are in need of a right-back after Carl Jenkinson’s loan spell with the club expired and he returned to Arsenal. With Sam Byram the only notable name available to Bilic for the position, a new reliable player is required for next season if The Hammers want to continue their brilliant 2015-16 form.

Van der Wiel has made 17 appearances for PSG in the French Ligue 1 last season scoring 2 goals for the club. He has an impressive pass accuracy of 90% with 0 defensive errors, as reported by

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s France international right-back Mathieu Debuchy is also strongly favored to make his move to West Ham United this summer. The 30-year-old has lost his first team place to Hector Bellerin and given Bellerin’s form, Debuchy faces an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium, as reported by Mercato365.

It is also being reported that West Ham United and Arsenal could do a lot of transfer deals together this summer. England internationals Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also been heavily tipped to make their way to the Olympic Stadium in London, although nothing has been confirmed by either of the clubs yet, according to Daily Star.
