English Premier League (EPL) side Manchester United are set to rebuff any loan approach for striker Anthony Martial in the winter transfer window. La Liga club Sevilla are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the Frenchman.

Monchi, Sevilla’s director has made contact with Martial’s agent to test waters on the player’s availability in January. The Spanish club want a potential loan deal for the player given the 21-year-old’s lack of game time at Old Trafford under new manager Jose Mourinho, according to Daily Mail.

Martial is reportedly frustrated by the lack of playing time he is experiencing in Manchester. The France international would prefer an opportunity elsewhere in search of more regular football.

However, Mourinho is not interested in letting the player leave. The Portuguese manager wants the man from Massy, France to apply himself better at United. The same feeling is echoed by Martial’s international manager Didier Deschamps.

Jorge Sampaoli, Sevilla’s coach is not the only man interested in gaining the striker’s services in the winter. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is also reportedly keen in the player. The Hammers have asked the Red Devil’s of his availability.

However, the 20-time Premier League champions will not entertain any loan offers for the man they acquired from Monaco, last summer. The club is well prepared to continue their recent run of good results and make a strong claim in the title race this season.

Martial had an amazing debut season at United under former manager Louis Van Gaal. The striker scored a total of 17 goals last season in all competitions. Compared to last season, the Frenchman has only found the net twice this season, according to Squawka.
