Boxing News 2016: Pacquiao-Bradley 3 undercard fights almost set

The third fight between Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and Timothy Bradley of the United States has failed to gain a hype comparable to their previous bouts but Top Rank Promotions is making sure to schedule impressive undercard fights that would potentially attract additional fans to watch either at the venue or the buy the pay-per-view of the event.

According to, a website that has a comprehensive list of fighters’ profiles and upcoming boxing schedules, eight fighters are already confirmed to take part in the Pacquiao vs. Bradley 3 event at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in the Unite States on April 9, 2016.

In the featherweight division, Oscar Valdez from Mexico is set to face Evgeny Gradovich from Russia. The 25-year-old Valdez is undefeated in 18 career bouts with an impressive 16 knockouts while the 29-year-old Gradovich is at 21-1-1 with 9 knockouts.

Valdez, who is ranked the third-best Mexican in the featherweight division has won his last two bouts via impressive knockouts, a third round KO victory over Ernie Sanchez last December and a fifth round KO win over Chris Avalos last September 2015.

Meanwhile, Gradovich is just 2-1-1 in his last four bouts but has won his last two fights. The Russian, who is ranked the best featherweight from his country, beat Jesus Galicia earlier this month via majority decision and Aldimar Silva Santos via a split decision last October. Previously, Gradovich fell to Lee Selby in July 2015 via technical decision because of a head clash that caused a major cut in Gradovich’s right eye which prematurely ended the fight.

In other undercard bouts in the Pacquiao-Bradley 3 main event, Jose Carlos Ramirez of the United States will take on compatriot Manuel Perez of the for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Americas super lightweight title.

Other boxers that are pegged to be in Vegas fighting under the Pacquiao-Bradley 3 card are Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Alexander Besputin and Devin Haney although their opponents are yet to be announced.
