Caroline Wozniacki may have been heartbroken following a surprise exit in the first round of the 2016 Australian Open earlier this week, but it didn’t take long before her fans got to see that smile back on her face.
Trading in her signature tennis racquet in for a jumpsuit and a helmet for a day, the former women’s world number one Wozniacki took a ride with World Rally Championship driver Sébastien Ogier around Monte Carlo to celebrate the opening of the 2016 WRC season.

Ogier, driving a Volkswagen Polo in the ongoing Monte Carlo rally, sped a lap around the legendary track to the delight of Wozniacki, who suffered a disappointing loss to Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan in the opening round of the Australian Open.
After the ride, Ogier expressed his elation of having chauffeured around Wozniacki, as well as Monaco royalty Pierre Casiraghi, in the traditional pre-opening festivities.

The Danish native Wozniacki, who resides in Monte Carlo, said the roundabout the legendary Monaco racing circuit gave her a different perspective of the city.
“I live here in Monaco – and this fast taxi ride was a great new experience for me. I felt really safe sitting next to Sébastien Ogier,” An exhilarated Wozniacki said after returning to the start line.
