Joseph Randle who was arrested over the weekend is still in jail, reports Larry Brown Sports. The former Dallas Cowboys running back was arrested in Kansas Sunday morning on charges of battery.
Law enforcement officials told TMZ that Randle tried to hit three people with his car in Wichita, Kansas. He then attempted to chase them into a house and then allegedly forced his way inside the house.
According to the TMZ report, nobody sustained any serious injuries. Joseph has been charged with three counts of aggravated battery, one count of drug possession and one count of criminal damage. His bond has been set at $100,000.
However, the latest is that he is still in jail because he cannot afford the bail amount. Randle asked the amount to be lowered to $5000, but was denied.
“I don’t got no money for bond or nothing like that,” he told Judge Jeffrey Goering. “I was wondering if I could get my bond lowered to $5,000, so I can get out and go work out. I’ve got plans to go to California as soon as possible.”
Randle was cut by the Cowboys in November. This is the third time that Joseph got arrested since he was cut by the team. His most recent arrest took place earlier this month at his ex-girlfriend’s home. He then predicted that his NFL career was over.
And judging by his latest arrest, it does seem that he might have to kiss his NFL career goodbye.Last year, Joseph was caught in an embarrassing shoplifting incident at a department store. He was caught stealing underwear and cologne from a department store back in 2014.
The 24-year-old was also previously arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard outside a casino in 2015. Although he has age by his side, Randle’s NFL career sure doesn’t look that promising.
