Odom showing “signs of improvement”

There’s a glimmer of hope for Lamar Odom.

With Odom still in a coma and on life support in a Las Vegas hospital, a source told ESPN that he has continued to show small signs of improvement in the past 24 hours.

It can be recalled that Odom was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday after being found unresponsive at a brothel outside Las Vegas.

A Nevada sheriff on Wednesday revealed that the person who called 911 after discovering Odom unconscious in his VIP suite said that the former NBA star had recently used cocaine and had taken over-the-counter sexual performance enhancers.

Authorities are retracing Odom’s $75,000 visit to the brothel.

Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof is cooperating with authorities, according to the brothe’s spokesperson, Richard Hunter, one of the people who called 911.

Kardashian, a reality TV star, rushed to Las Vegas to be by his side Tuesday night at Sunrise Hospital. Since then, friends, teammates and loved ones have visited and posted messages on social media asking for prayers.

Among those truly affected by the incident is Odom’s former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant. They were on the team together from 2004 to 2011 and had won championships in 2009 and 2010.

Bryant refused to speak with the media but posted a tweet on Thursday:

Hollywood television show “Entertainment Tonight” had earlier reported that the 35-year-old Odom had shown slight progress, including briefly fluttering his eyes open, and at one point his ex-wife believed he squeezed her hand.

The Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, where Odom, a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, is confined and is in a medically induced coma, declined to comment on his condition, citing patient confidentiality.

Odom’s estranged father, Joe, his two children from a previous relationships and another ex-girlfriend are also reported to be by his side.
