Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling has a new found love — music.
Following Manchester City’s defeat by his former club Liverpool, Sterling has been finding solace in music as the young forward is taking piano lessons.
Sterling spent £10,000 of his £180,000-a-week pay packet on a new Yamaha piano and is now keen to learn the instrument.
Judging from the sheet music on the England international’s new toy posted on Instagram, Sterling was feeling ‘Home Sweet Home’ at City and is perhaps learning ‘Lullaby’ for his daughter.
The £10,000 Yamaha piano is black in color and according to a source Sterling has got quite the rhythm in him.
“He [Sterling] bought the piano a while back,’ a source told the Daily Star, “and had been walking past it every day and running his fingers down the keyboard promising himself that one day he’d get some lessons.”
“Now he’s taken the plunge and is enjoying immersing himself in the music. He is proving quite adept, he’s got rhythm and flow on the field and people with that inner feeling for balance and good timing usually make good pupils.”
The City layer is no stranger to luxury home and is known to live quite a lavish life. He boasted of an indoor pool, basketball court and barber’s area, at his former home.
The timing of Sterling’s new pursuit could not be more perfect as the forward is likely to take his mind off of his side’s embarrassing defeat to Liverpool.
Manchester City lost to Liverpool in a 4-1 defeat.
The 20-year-old forward was playing against his former club for the first time since making his £49million trip along the M62 to Manchester.
But amidst the constant booing from the visiting supporters, Sterling could not show his true form and was ineffectual in City’s 4-1 thrashing.
Sterling will travel to Turin today with his City team-mates as they hope to secure top spot in Champions League group D with a win over Juventus.
