With the departure of Louis van Gaal from Manchester United and the speculations and almost official decision of the club of choosing Jose Mourinho to take over the Dutchman , one question has yet to be answered: What’s next for Ryan Giggs?

Giggs, who has spent most of his football career in Manchester United both as a player and a part of the coaching staff, is in the middle of deciding whether he is going to stay at Old Trafford which will is rumored to be soon under the management of Jose Mourinho, or to follow Louis van Gaal’s track and leave the club.

The former winger was the player-coach under the previous manager David Mosse and the assistant coach of recently sacked Van Gaal, and still has a remaining 1 year to complete the contract, but it is likely that he has to leave his post when Mourinho takes over as the special one always has always Rui Faria with him and will most likely be hired as the assistant coach when Mourinho transfers to Manchester United.

The Sun reported that Mourinho wants Giggs to stay at Old Trafford and that he has been offered the chance to be the coach of the under 21 players of the club. That will lead Giggs to a step-down in his career.

Giggs remains undecided, as disappointment came over him for being denied his dream job to be the club’s manager for the second time.

Ryan Giggs holds the record of assist in the Premiere League with 162 and has won over 34 trophies in his career.
