English Premier League (EPL) club Liverpool are monitoring Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams for a potential move this January. The EPL club is looking to add a forward to their lineup and Williams fits the bill perfectly for the Reds.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to have urged the club officials to make a move for the Spanish forward who is valued at €20 million (US $21.8 million), according to The Guardian.
Williams has 10 goals and 3 assists under his name in all competitions this season and has made a name for himself in La Liga with some brilliant performances.
Williams is a dynamic attacking player who can feature both as a forward and a winger. He can add the much needed width to the Liverpool side, currently lacking wide players.
Williams is certainly not a finished product. However, under the guidance and coaching of Klopp he has the potential to become one of the premium talents in world football and a hero at Anfield.
Liverpool are not the only club having a look at the Spanish talent. Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are also considering a move for Williams. La Liga clubs Atletico and Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in signing the winger.
Williams has a contract with Bilbao until June, 2017 and the Basque Country club is doing everything to extend the contract. Williams on the other hand, is keeping an eye on the transfer market before signing any dotted lines.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are touted to make a move for Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet, according to Tuttosport.
Liverpool were looking to bring in Praet in the upcoming summer, however Klopp has urged the Merseyside club to make the move in January.
The 21-year-old has had a good season in the Anderlecht shirt with four goals and six assists.
