UFC 2016: Holly Holm wants to fight ASAP ‘If I fight sooner rather than later, it won’t be a rematch’

You just have to understand the situation of Holly Holm, when you are the best fighter in the world and you have all this momentum… you just have to keep the fire burning while it is there.

As Dana White wanted, Holm’s next match will be against Ronda Rousey (again) and it is possibly slated for UFC 200.

“If I fight sooner rather than later, it won’t be a rematch, but it’s still possible for a rematch,” she said. “They haven’t really announced anything exact yet, so I guess we’ll just wait and see how the cards unfold. But I’m not going anywhere. I’ll fight again, hopefully sooner rather than later.”

For sure, between now and July, anything can happen and one thing for sure that will… both fighters get older. For Holm, he is not hurt as compared to Rousey and she can fight as we are talking.

I just don’t want to wait around for things if they’re not set in stone,” Holm said as reported by

Rousey, who was prevented by the doctors to fight for 6 months, still has to get back in shape after Holm gave her that knock out shot in the Jaw.

“A lot of people have been talking about the rematch, but nobody really knows for sure … I don’t want to wait around for something that may not happen. I want to be able to fight soon. I like being active, because I love the sport.”

Holm has been called out by Meisha Tate (who was promised a title fight when she won against Jessica Eye) and even Bethe Correia wants to have a crack at the champion.

For Holm, she wants to fight anyone who is willing. Even much bigger fighter in Cris “Cyborg” Jusitano.

People are now just assuming that Dana White wants to protect the rematch of Holm-Rousey fight until it happens for it will bring the highest ratings that the UFC will have in the history of the organization and the sport.

‘Til then… Holm is just on a wait-and-see situation.
