File this one under “adding insult to injury.”

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered what the team diagnosed as a “right shoulder injury” and had to be evaluated by team doctors in the locker room during the fourth quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Wildcard round of the NFL Playoffs on Saturday night.

While getting wheeled into the dugout, fans at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio gave Ben Roethlisberger a rude time, pelting debris and booing the Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback.

The sack made by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict may prove cringe-worthy for Pittsburgh Steelers fans, as Ben Roethlisberger has been the team’s lynchpin all season long and team sources are saying that he may be questionable against the Denver Broncos on January 17.

The Pittsburgh Steelers eventually eked out a 18-16 win over the hosts Cincinnati Bengals.
