Apple fans are anticipating the next flagship launch of Apple Macbook Air. It is expected to be released next 2017. Apple hasn’t made any official announcement yet regarding the product. That leads to tech experts speculating that Apple will not launch any Macbook Air next year. While others are suggesting Apple will launch another one but it will be the last of its kind.
After the Apple event that took place on 27 October 2016, it seems unclear if the MacBook Air line has been completely discontinued. No new MacBook Air was announced at the event. But instead, Apple used the event to show off the iPhone SE and the iPad Pro with 9.7in screen.
Tech Blogger Jack March claims to have spoken with a source close to the situation who says that Apple is about to end the Air brand completely, including the MacBook Air and iPad Air products in its lineup.
While other several reports said that Apple is just working on to enhanced the specs of the next MacBook. A report on International Business times states that “the company (Apple) will be releasing the Apple MacBook Air in 2017 that will be more compact and even thinner than its predecessor.”
According to Macworld, Apple has got into a contract with Sonder Design, MacBook Air 2017 will get an E-Ink keyboard made by the company. While Macrumors report states that Apple MacBook Air 2017 will drop the USB-A ports in favour of the highly-advanced USB Type-C ports. But not much is known about the type of processor the device will be incorporated with.
Apple fans have been very vocal as to what they want on the next Macbook – Touch ID support, fingerprint sensor and Apple Pencil-enabled Trackpads in the Apple MacBook Air 2017. They also are expecting for a new range of Apple products that could also be having the virtual personal assistant Siri.
But the fans have to wait until next March as Apple is expected to reveal information about MacBook Air 2017.
