Samsung Galaxy S7 is the best smartphone available in the market right now. The South Korean tech giant’s flagship phone was able to maintain its premier position even after the release of Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, fans are already excited to see what the company has to offer when it releases the rumored two variants of Samsung Galaxy S8.
It is being rumored that both the versions of Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature curve edges. Although nothing has been officially declared yet, we are calling both the versions as Galaxy S8 standard and Galaxy S8 Plus.
The standard model of the phone will feature a single rear camera with a 5.1 inch SuperAMOLED display. The Plus on the other hand will possess a 5.5 inch screen with 4k SuperAMOLED technology. The phone is also likely to contain a dual-lens camera system like the iPhone 7 Plus. It is also being reported that Samsung Galaxy S8 will use the company’s latest acquisition, Viv AI assistant, which will rival the famous Google Assistant, according to Weibo.
The processor for Samsung Galaxy S8 is likely to be a Snapdragon 830 for the worldwide market and the in-house created Exynos 8895 for other markets. It is also being reported that the company is looking to do away with the 3.5mm headphone jack and replace it with USB-C. It is being rumored that this move is inspired from Apple’s decision to exclude headphone jacks in its latest flagships, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7s, according to University Herald.
Meanwhile, there have been no leaks regarding the release date of Samsung Galaxy S8. However, based on the release dates of previous flagships from Samsung, it could be safely assumed that the eighth version of the phone will arrive somewhere between February and March in 2017, according to PC Advisor.
Just as the release date, there have been no rumors regarding how much the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be priced after its release. However, it is being speculated that the phone will be priced somewhere around $670 – 730 for its entry level-model.
