Tennis News: We might see Nadal vs. Federer again soon

The signs are positive for the recovery of Tennis greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as they are all set to smash their way to tennis sets in 2017. Both tennis superstars had to cut back their respective 2016 seasons owing to injury and 2017 promises to be the year when we just might again see an epic Nadal against Federer epic.

Despite the titanic rivalry between the two in the tennis court and the legendary battles of Nadal against Federer, both men admire each other. Federer recently admitted that he drew inspiration from Nadal’s steely grit and determination as he surmounted one injury after another and kept coming back to the court much to the delight of his fans.

““You’ve done it a million times, so there again I can be inspired by you. How easily you always came back, and you made it look easy!” Federer said on Nadal, as reported by

He commented this on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Rafael Nadal Academy for which Mallorca has been selected as the location.

Nadal, in turn, was also appreciative of Federer’s sportsmanlike gesture to visit Nadal’s Academy at Manacor in Mallorca which incidentally is his hometown.

Though indeed the ATP rankings of the Tennis legends have admittedly slumped in recent times due to the injuries incurred by both, they remain forces to be reckoned with as they prepare themselves for another stint in the court and another Nadal against Federer fight of epic proportions. While Federer is training, Nadal is still undergoing rehabilitation for his injury and is yet to take up active training.

As the greats battle it out with their respective injuries, fans eagerly await yet another titanic clash between the two.
