After being released by the Brooklyn Nets, Joe Johnson has now found a new home in Miami, Florida.
Miami Heat owner, Mickey Arison confirms through Twitter that the signing has become official.
Johnson then sent a message to the Brooklyn Nets fans:
“Thank you to all of the Brooklyn and New York Fans for your support during my time with the @Brooklyn Nets,” Johnson said in a statement. “I want to thank the Nets organization and I wish nothing but the best to the team. I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career and am excited to bring my talents to a new team.”

Joe Johnson will be joining Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic in what seems to be a good addition for the Heat.
It has been reported that the Miami Heat was able to win the bidding war on Johnson against the Atlanta Hawks and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Once dubbed as on of the most lethal shooters in the NBA, Johnson was just averaging 11.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds prior to leaving the Nets.
