A social media post by Sophie Turner, one of the stars in the movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse”, has fueled rumors and speculations that pop star Taylor Swift could land a role in the Marvel movie franchise as the superhero, “Dazzler”.

Nothing is official but Turner, who plays Jean Grey in the new X-Men movie, posted a “Dazzler” Easter egg referencing to Dazzler, a mutant in the X-Men universe and a popular singer like Taylor Swift, as noted by comicbookresources.com.

Also pointed out by CBR, Taylor Swift had visited the X-Men set before with Simon Kinberg, one of the writers, posting a picture of the pop star with Turner last year:

Dazzler is a superhero in the Marvel comic book universe and profiled as adventurer, singer, former actress, model, revolutionary in the comics.

“Dazzler can transduce sonic vibrations into various types of light. Dazzler prefers utilizing music, particularly that which is rhythmically sustained, but cannot use the sound of her own unamplified voice,” Her profile of powers at marvel.com stated.

“Dazzler can generate illumination, create realistic holograms, emit pulses or strobes to blind or disorient others, and fire laser-like cutting beams or “solid photon” concussive force beams. She is immune to the harmful effects of bright lights and loud noise.”

Taylor Swift has never been into serious acting but as one of the most popular singers in the music industry today, getting her in any X-Men movie in the future will be seen as a coup for the franchise.
