The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has teased the return of Cruiserweight Classic star Cedric Alexander at the recent edition of 205 Live. The 27-year-old has been out of in-ring action since February, this year.

WWE has started airing vignettes of Alexander. However, no official date has been announced regarding his imminent return. The original prognosis for his knee injury was three to five months.

No storyline plans after Cedric Alexander’s return

Hence, it is being estimated that Alexander is waiting to be cleared and WWE is building the anticipation for his return. However, there has been no indication as to what storyline he’d be inserted into upon his return.

Cedric Alexander was one of the most popular members of the CWC tournament last summer. The fans desperately chanted for him to be signed upon his elimination from the event. The prayers were answered and Alexander has done an amazing job in 205 Live. The most notable work of his is the odd relationship with Alicia Fox.

There is no official confirmation regarding when Alexander will make his first re-appearance on WWE television. However, rumors suggest that the return won’t be long.

Cedric Alexander next opponent

Neville and Austin Aries has been booked to fight in an upcoming title clash. There is a possibility that Cedric could be thrust into the feud with the King of the Cruiserweights. He could also be engaged in a feud with the recently turned help TJP.

Cedric has endured a frustrating time since his injury. The man from Charlotte, North Carolina missed WrestleMania 33 as well. With the talent the cruiserweight possesses, one could expect that Alexander could force his way into a spot on the card next year.
