Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star AJ Lee has been doing the media rounds to promote her new book, Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts and Breaking the Rules. WWE Rumors on Lee and her husband, former WWE Champion CM Punk has been doing the rounds of late.

The 30-year-old former WWE Diva recently appeared on Jim Norton and Sam Roberts show to promote her new book. During her appearance, she was asked about how she and CM Punk missed performing in front of a large audience.

CM Punk and AJ Lee having contrasting opinions

The Black Widow mentioned that she and CM Punk have different views on the subject. While Lee will always have a soft spot for professional wrestling, her husband doesn’t feel the same way.

“Him and I have different views on that for sure. My heart is always gonna have this giant place for wrestling, so I’ll always miss that moment right in the ring where you feel the energy from the crowd, and there’s nothing that can replace that. But I think that you should appreciate the different kinds of happy there are,” AJ Lee said, as reported by Sportskeeda.

“So I have positive memories of that and I miss the fans and so doing these autograph signings and seeing these people that I’ve seen for the past 7 years is the coolest thing in the world to me, so it’s nice to kinda see them again. But he [Punk] is very okay without the crowds”

Since his departure from the WWE, CM Punk tried his luck in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). However, he failed to make an impact in the world of mixed-martial-arts (MMA). The 38-year-old lost his UFC debut to Mickey Gall, who went on to become a star in the Welterweight division.

AJ Lee happy with Women’s Revolution in WWE

AJ Lee has always been one of the most outspoken female superstars in the history of WWE. She dropped a pipebomb towards the cast of Total Divas. She also called out Stephanie McMahon regarding gender equality on Twitter.

Lee fought for the Women’s Revolution which has taken over the WWE. The likes of Sasha Banks and Charlotte have been given opportunities to make history on many different occasions.

“To me, it was picture-perfect, and I wrote in my book that I felt like it was wrapped up in a tidy bow. I think this is everyone else’s time now. It’s the evolution, and these girls are wonderful,” Lee mentioned.

Based on the comments made by AJ Lee, it still is unclear whether the much awaited CM Punk return to WWE will happen anytime soon. However, with the former Diva’s love for professional wrestling still present, it won’t be surprising if we see her back in the WWE ring in some form or another sometime down the line.
