World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Jim Ross had his say on the upcoming WrestleMania 32 plans for The Rock, John Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The 64-year-old also had his say on how the Grand Daddy of Them All should open as well as how the WWE World Heavyweight Title match should be placed on the wrestling card.
“Seems like a no brainer booking to feature (Stone Cold) Steve Austin, The Rock and John Cena in the ring together at ‘Mania in an entertaining piece of business. This might be a helluva way to kickoff the main show.” JR said on his latest blog at JRsBarBQ.com.
The man from Fort Bragg, California also expressed his wish of seeing the WWE World Heavyweight Title match closing the WrestleMania 32 event in Arlington, Texas. According to the semi-retired professional wrestling commentator, The Hell in a Cell match featuring Shane McMahon and The Undertaker should be placed in the middle or towards the later part of the show followed by a couple of matches before closing the Mania with the WWE Title bout.
Speaking on The Rock, Cena and Stone Cold, JR suggested that placing the three together at the event featuring in a promo segment would do wonders for the company considering the trio’s popularity. Ross took similarities with WrestleMania 30 which also used The Rock, Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan in an opening promo segment to kickoff the show.
JR also suggested including the seven man Intercontinental Title ladder match to open the wrestling aspect of WrestleMania 32. The legendary commentator feels that it would be the best thing to do for the wrestlers booked in the match since the audience will be hot and eagerly awaiting a spectacular performance. This will provide a brilliant platform for the wrestlers to go out and steal the show.
