The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) universe haven’t seen Kane on TV programming for over 6 months. Glen Jacobs, who plays the character behind the mask has solidified his plans of running for the mayor of Knox County. This has placed his WWE future in doubt.
“As Knox County Mayor I promise to keep taxes low and make Knox County a place everyone can be proud of. I see my role as that of a facilitator among the different communities in our area,” Jacobs said to the crowd, as reported by WATE 6 NEWS. “I think that Mayor Burchett has done a very good job with transparency in government and I would continue along those lines.”
The former WWE Champion has clearly taken his Corporate Kane gimmick by heart. Jacobs have been running an insurance company at Knox County for many years. He has become a stalwart in the community.
Hence, Kane has decided to run as a Republican in the election. The election takes place on May 1, 2018.

Kane reveals on WWE future
Speaking on his WWE future, Kane revealed that he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises even if he knew about it. Kane was present in Dubai last week for the middle East Film & Comic Con (MECC) at the Dubai World Trade Center.
“That is, as we say in the States, TBD, to be determined. And I wouldn’t want to ruin any surprises if I did know,” Kane stressed.
Kane, as a mayoral candidate won’t be spending much time within the WWE ring. This is at least until the race is over.
Kane on The Undertaker’s retirement
The Big Red Machine also discussed on The Undertaker’s last match at WrestleMania 33. The Dead Man lost to Roman Reigns at ‘Mania 33 and retired from professional wrestling.
“(Smiling) Well, Undertaker can take care of himself! We all knew at some point that was inevitable, but nevertheless it’s, sad because for me it’s like a chapter has closed, and I think a lot of WWE fans feel the same way,” Kane said, as reported by comicbook.com.
Kane’s last appearance on WWE television was in a SmackDown LIVE storyline between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. The Big Red Machine aligned with Orton until The Viper turned on him.
Shortly after the storyline, Kane was taken off television. The 49-year-old faced an injury of sorts while also focusing more on the insurance company he runs with his wife.
