Kurt Angle recently revealed in an interview that he would be wrestling for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in near future. However, the 48-year-old is not certain when the opportunity will arise.

Angle is currently serving as the on-screen General Manager of Monday Night RAW. However, the WWE is yet to reveal any plans of him as an in-ring performer. The man from Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania revealed in his interview to Wrestlezone Radio that he will be wrestling very soon.

“I will be wrestling down the road at some point. It might not be this year, it might be next year, I don’t know,” Angle said.

“They haven’t said a word, but my guess is I will wrestle again in WWE. I just don’t know when.”

Angle must prove clean to the WWE

Angle added that the WWE would drug test him as rigorously as it does to the other wrestlers on the roster. The wrestling promotion will then take a decision of allowing him to return to the ring.

“They haven’t talked to me about it. I’m sure they won’t until the last second (laughs). That’s ok with me. I think what they are doing right now is, this is just my opinion, they are monitoring to see how I’m doing,” Angle stressed.

“They see me working out at the gym. They see me every Raw doing what I have to do. They’re saying, ‘Prove to us that you are ok and we can give you what you want.’ I’m cool with that.”

Angle recently featured in a prominent segment on Monday Night RAW. However, it was a promo with Bray Wyatt and not in a wrestling match.

Kurt Angle vs. Triple H could happen at WrestleMania 34

There is an ongoing rumor within the wrestling fraternity that the Wrestling Machine will be back in the ring for a feud with Triple H. It is extremely likely the match will take place at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.

Kurt Angle has been involved in a few controversies and DUI incidents in the past. This has been indirectly referred to from time-to-time.

However, the man is a legend and a veteran in professional wrestling. One hopes to see Kurt wrestle a few more times in his career, and seeing him go toe-to-toe with The Game will make it even better.
