Mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and UFC superstar Cris Cyborg never got the opportunity to face Ronda Rousey. However, it looks like she has found a way to fight “Rowdy” after all. But, it won’t be in the Octagon, but in a professional wrestling ring instead.
Cyborg posted a video on Twitter which showcased her training with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Tough Enough and Impact Wrestling star Gabi Castrovinci. The duo was not training martial arts, but pro wrestling moves, as reported by BJPenn.com.
Cyborg has called out Ronda Rousey for a match in the WWE in her tweet. The 31-year-old has specially mentioned Tag Team as the sort of match she wants with Rousey.
Cyborg vs Rousey in WWE?
The tweet in question displays Cyborg showing off the pro wrestling moves she has learned while calling out Rousey to find a partner. The Brazilian MMA superstar wants to face the 30-year-old Rousey at Royal Rumble.

However, it is certain that Cyborg isn’t interested in pursuing professional wrestling any time soon. She is more focused on taking the 145-pound women’s title in the UFC from present champion Germaine de Randamie, according to Fox Sports.
Cyborg vacated her Invicta FC title last weekend to call out Randamie for a championship bout. Meanwhile, Germaine is yet to reply to Cyborg’s request.
Rousey started her MMA career with 12 straight wins before suffering two consecutive losses recently. Her recent form has led to many speculating her retirement from the sport.
Cyborg has realized that she won’t be able to face Rousey ever in the Octagon again. Hence, the next possible alternative is to challenge her in professional wrestling.
Rousey’s love for professional wrestling is not hidden. She has expressed her desire in the past to join WWE once she hangs up her boots in the UFC.
Reality of the fight happening
Cyborg vs Rousey doesn’t look like a reality, at least in near future. Rousey is presently busy with her acting roles, which includes the remake of the Patrick Swayze movie Roadhouse. The 30-year-old is yet to make any commitment regarding her MMA future as well.
Cyborg, on the other hand, has recently been reinstated in the UFC after her doping suspension lift. She is the next in line to have a shot at the UFC Featherweight belt at UFC 214 in July. However, the match is yet to be made official.
