Stephanie McMahon has been off television since WrestleMania 33, due to storyline injuries she sustained going through a table. The former Women’s Champion has rarely wrestled in the past decade. Her most recent match happened at SummerSlam 2014.

However, Stephanie recently revealed in an interview to The Mirror on WWE’s tour of the U.K. regarding the possibility of her ever performing in an in-ring capacity. The 40-year-old explained that she would welcome the idea of sharing the ring with some of the WWE performers.

“I absolutely love the in-ring performance aspect to what we do. It’s such an honor to be able to get in there with some of those performers and actually take bumps or tell a story of the match,” Stephanie said.

“I’m not necessarily the best but I do love to get in there. So, if there’s ever an opportunity again to do that and to help make somebody else then I would absolutely welcome it.”

Stephanie’s in-ring experience

Stephanie has wrestled a few matches over the course of her career. She last stepped into the ring when she faced Brie Bella at SummerSlam in 2014. It’s been a while since Stephanie has wrestled a match.

Despite not being involved in a wrestling match since 2014, Stephanie has been involved physically in other matches. One of the most recent was with her husband, Triple H’s WrestleMania 33 bout against Seth Rollins. The bout saw her take a bump through a table.

Stephanie has often teased feuds with some of WWE’s current female performers, most notably with the likes of Sasha Banks and Bayley. However, none of these matches has ever come to fruition.

Stephanie has been a proven draw over the years. Any bout involving The Billion Dollar Princess will be worthy of a spot on the card at any of WWE’s biggest events. However, it is unknown when Stephanie will resume her on-screen commissioner role. Hence, any possible match for her in the near future seems unlikely.

WWE planning all-women’s tournament

This summer WWE will be taping an all-women’s tournament at Full Sail University. The tournament will feature 32 competitors and PWInsider reports that the plan is to hold tapings on Thursday 7/13 and Friday 7/14.

The tournament will be similar to the Cruiserweight Classic. But, instead of airing episodes weekly, WWE will release sets of episodes similar to how they released Holy Foley and Camp WWE. The current plan is for the final night of the tournament to air as part of a live WWE Network special on 8/29.
