World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Stone Cold Steve Austin revealed on his podcast, The Steve Austin Show the reason behind his absence at WrestleMania 33. The 52-year-old revealed of his present relationship with the wrestling promotion and his future plans with the company.

“I will always be a part of the WWE. The WWE will always be a part of my life. I’m in this thing for the rest of my life. That’s the relationship that I have with the WWE,” Stone Cold said, as reported by Cagesideseats.

“So there’s never been no heat, no this, no that, no whatever. I’m at a great place with those guys and I’m thankful for everything they’ve done for me and I’m sure they’re thankful for the things I did for them. Again, I’m a WWE member for life.”

Austin was busy selling his ranch

Speaking on his podcast, Stone Cold revealed that he was busy selling his ranch in Texas at the time of WrestleMania 33. He had a lot of irons in the fire and hence couldn’t turn out at the event, despite WWE inviting him.

“Man, I was too busy. I told the person that invited me to go down there, I said ‘hey, man, I sure appreciate the invitation but I’ve got so many things…’ … I was, frankly, too busy taking care of all my personal business and some professional business that I’m working on as well to make it down to WrestleMania 33,” Steve Austin stressed.

Austin made memorable appearances at both WrestleMania 30 and 32. Hence, his absence at the latest ‘Mania was clearly noticeable by the WWE universe. The biggest event of the year is famed for having former WWE stars return or make one-off appearances on the show.

Austin and his future with WWE

Steve Austin is one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling. Hence, the fact of him missing out on the Grandest Stage of the All led to some speculation that there might be issues between him and the WWE.

However, Austin rubbished all the claims. The man from Austin, Texas stressed that the speculations were total BS.

“So you have all this speculation going on on the Internet that ‘oh, Stone Cold Steve Austin is done with the WWE, he’s no longer a part, his contract expired, he’s not satisfied with what’s going on’ and just all this mularky, which was total BS,” the 52-year-old mentioned.

While Austin hasn’t done anything with WWE since his WrestleMania 32 cameo, he himself has silenced any rumors of ill-feelings between the two parties. Therefore, it is definitely an appearance or some sort of collaboration between them in the future is an obvious possibility.
