Stone Cold Steve Austin knows a thing or two about getting over the crowd since he is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. The same cannot be said for Roman Reigns, who the WWE Universe has not fully embraced, but Austin still believes in The Guy.

In a recent episode of The Steve Austin Show (h/t Wrestling Inc.), The Texas Rattlesnake participated in a question and answer portion with the fans and he was asked if he has some advice to Reigns. Austin noted that The Big Dog has to sell better since he sells too much and add some new moves to his offense.

“He needs a little bit more fire on the offense, a little more active, sell on the run on defense. I think that’d help him out. He needs to pick his head up. He needs to sell on the run, be more active. He has a bad habit of dying when he sells,” Austin said.

The WWE Hall of Famer gave some credit to Roman Reigns for being very unselfish in the ring. He also mentioned that he still believes in Reigns as the face of the WWE but the creative team has to come up with better stories for him.

“To his credit, he will sell for anybody. He’s very unselfish in the ring in regards to that. But because he sells so much, he just needs a more active sell to keep those people buying in, so he can get that sympathy,” Austin said.

“He’s a big, good looking guy. He’s putting his game together. Come up with better storylines for the guy. I still have high hopes for Roman Reigns,” he added.

The WWE still has high hopes for The Guy despite failing to get over in the past two years. The company sees him as a polarizing superstar just like John Cena but he needs to get booked much better. He also needs to ditch The Shield look and get a makeover.

Reigns is the current United States champion and he will be for a longer period. He is still full of potential and if Stone Cold Steve Austin believes in him, the fans should believe in him too.
