World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is banking on Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker match at WrestleMania 32 to be a huge affair. The company is trying everything from its own end to make the bout a blockbuster hit. On Friday night at a WWE live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the company may have provided a massive hint of junior McMahon coming away victorious against the dead man.
WWE’s live event on Friday saw a former company personality make his return and deliver a promo. Jonathan Coachman, who presently works as an ESPN anchor was invited to the ring by Shane McMahon, as reported by wrestlezone.com.
Coachman then cut a promo and delivered a strong message which may have provided a big hint on the outcome of Shane McMahon’s match at WrestleMania 32. The 43-year-old stated that Shane will become the next boss of WWE’s flagship show RAW.
It has to be noted that the match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker will be contested in “Hell in a Cell” and has a major stipulation attached to it. If Shane manages to defeat The Phenom, he will go on to take control of RAW and remove The Authority from power.
WWE has a history of delivering minute hints of a potential outcome before big pay-per-views and Coachman’s comment may be one of them. One would hope that Shane McMahon does come off victorious against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 to potentially shake up the creative core which the current product delivers.
Meanwhile, many are speculating that The Rock might have a specific role to play in the bout. The People’s Champion has already declared his availability at the upcoming Mania, however nothing more regarding his role at the event is known yet.
This is where the rumors are heating up and many are suggesting that The Great One might interfere helping Shane McMahon come away victorious against The Undertaker.
