The WWE had several great rivalries this year but there were also very bad ones. Here is SportsRageous’ list of the five worst feuds of 2016 featuring Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil.

5. Shane McMahon vs. Vince McMahon

Everyone might have forgotten that Shane McMahon should not be here. He came back to gain control of the WWE from his father, Vince McMahon. He blackmailed Vince using a lock box full of secrets so the WWE chairman put him in a match against The Undertaker with a lot of stipulations.

If Shane defeated The Undertaker, he will take control of the WWE. If he lost, he had to leave the company forever and the lock box will remain sealed. Shane lost to The Undertaker but Vince McMahon decided went against his word and named his son the SmackDown Live commissioner.

4. Charlotte vs. Natalya

Charlotte may be the best women’s wrestler at the moment but she struggled with her feud with Natalya earlier this year. They put up decent matches at Payback and Extreme Rules but it both had terrible finishes.

These two women had a great match at NXT TakeOver back in 2014. They failed to recreate that magic during this feud. It was a bad decision for the company to give Charlotte a rivalry with Natalya when the likes of Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch were available.

3. Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

Despite the current push of Baron Corbin as SmackDown Live’s bully, his first feud on the main roster was not one of the best. After winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32, Corbin started a feud with Dolph Ziggler.

The high point of their rivalry was the start of it when Corbin brutalized Ziggler. However, it all came down from there as the feud dragged on for three pay-per-views. Nonetheless, the two superstars recovered as both are in the current WWE title picture.

2. The New Day vs. The Club

This feud was so bad, it buried Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The Old Day segment was one of the worst of the year, and possibly in the last decade. It was cringe-worthy to watch but most importantly, it turned one of the baddest tag teams in the world to a comedic act.

Aside from The Old Day segment, Anderson and Gallows had to carry Big E’s testicles with them during their feud. The New Day is no longer champions while The Club has not recovered from the embarrassment that was this feud

1. Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil

The feud between the members of the Primetime Players was doomed from the start. Titus O’Neil was coming off a silly suspension and destruction by Rusev while Darren Young was paired with Bob Backlund.

Titus turned heel immediately but the fans just really did not care about his feud with Young. A disastrous segment on Raw after SummerSlam was the nail in the coffin of this feud. It was scrapped and the two men moved on to being more irrelevant.
