The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) universe is anticipating the real return of John Cena to the squared circle where they expect to see him wrestle regularly again.
WrestleMania 32 saw a brief return of John Cena. The “Cenation” leader returned to help The Rock takes on the Wyatt family and produce a grand spectacle for the record crowd present at the AT&T arena in Arlington, Texas. However, when everyone was anticipating a show at the following night’s RAW, Cena disappointed the viewers by not turning up.
There was a huge hint given by WWE color commentator JBL at the pay-per-view. The wrestling legend stated that John Cena was in “no condition” to be fighting in the ring. The 49-year-old guaranteed that Cena was “not well enough” to be wrestling and his only reason for the appearance was the allure of WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also stated that the 15-time WWE world heavyweight champion may not be cleared by the company for wrestling anytime soon. The realistic return date for him would be in July.
Meanwhile, rumors are strong that WWE wants Roman Reigns to defend his championship against Cena at SummerSlam 2016. Despite Reigns getting a huge push by the company, the former SHIELD member is not a crowd favorite and pitting him against Cena may be a step in the right direction of turning his heel, as reported by Forbes.com.

The company believes that a creative storyline featuring both of the company’s top stars would bring new subscribers for the “WWE Network”. This would also help WWE establishing SummerSlam as the WrestleMania of the summer.
WWE’s favoritism towards Roman Reigns will not go away soon. However, since he is rejected by the majority of the crowd, turning him heel will be a smart choice. It has to be noted that even The Rock had to be turned to a heel character before he got accepted by the crowd.
