WWE Rumors: Chris Jericho to feud with NXT star

By on

Chris Jericho is a heel again and he’s been very entertaining in his feud with A.J. Styles. Jericho is also not breaking character on social media and recently took a shot at an NXT star that could lead to a few WWE rumors.

A Twitter user tried to troll “Y2J” by calling him a big loser and describing Fozzy as a failed band. The former undisputed WWE champion was also compared to NXT star and “The King of Strong Style,” Shinsuke Nakamura.

Jericho then proceeded to rip Nakamura saying that the Japanese superstar is nothing compared to him and calling him a “minor league Jericho wannabe.”

However, Nakamura was able to hold of the comparison and responded back with a link to a “Super Liger” mask. It probably made Jericho upset as he called Nakamura a “baka,” the Japanese term for stupid, in his follow-up Tweet.

Nakamura ended the exchange with a simple “thanks” to Chris Jericho. But it’s very obvious that the former NJPW star won this one.

Why do you ask? Well, for those who don’t know, Jericho wrestled a match under the “Super Liger” mask back in Japan. It was possibly the worst match of his career as mentioned his 2007 autobiography, “A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex.”

This could be a start of a feud between the two superstars, but at this point, Nakamura is still in the developmental. If he makes it to the main roster, Jericho is the perfect guy to put him over just like what he’s doing with A.J. Styles.

However, it’s just pure WWE rumors and speculations at this point. Fans can just imagine the caliber of matches between Jericho and Nakamura.

In our previous report, WWE has huge plans for Shinsuke Nakamura once he arrives in the main roster. He is set to make his debut on “NXT TakeOver: Dallas” against Sami Zayn.
