John Cena was expected to miss WrestleMania 32 with a shoulder injury. However, according to the latest WWE rumors, Cena is ready to be cleared by doctors and may appear at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the 15-time WWE champion is expected to be cleared from his injury and return to the ring. Johnson also noted that John Cena might have been cleared already and will have pivotal role at WrestleMania 32 this April 3
As mentioned in a previous report, Cena has hinted at a possible appearance at the Grandest Stage of Them All in Dallas by posting a photo of musical notes for his entrance music “My Time is Now” on Twitter.

John Cena also told FOX Sports earlier this week that he is just waiting for the doctors to give him permission to get in the ring. When he underwent surgery last January, he was expected to be out for six to nine months.
“The people who said conservatively nine months have now said well maybe I’ll reevaluate myself. So I’m looking okay. I just got a little bit more sweet talking to do to the doctors so they can give me the green light,” Cena said.
If the 38-year-old wrestler indeed makes his return at WrestleMania 32, what role will he play? FanSided list five possible roles for John Cena to play at the biggest WWE event of the year.
Some of the less likely scenarios involve interfering in Kevin Owens’ Intercontinental match or being a special guest referee in the United States title match between Kalisto and Ryback. The more likely role for Cena is at the main event matches that involve Triple H, Roman Reigns, Shane McMahon and The Undertaker.
The leader of the “Cenation” could help “Shane-O-Mac” defeat The Undertaker. There is also the possibility of turning heel by attacking Roman Reigns in the main event as well as engaging in another feud with The Rock to set up a third and final WrestleMania match next year.
