John Cena has been the face of the WWE since 2005 and he keeps on rolling despite his age and injuries. However, the latest WWE rumors suggest that Cena may be retiring from in-ring competition and focus on his career outside of wrestling.

According to Sportskeeda, Cena is a WWE superstar for life and one of the most loyal talents in history. But he speculates that the 15-time champion’s time in the ring is coming to an end sooner than what everyone thinks.

The report gave several reasons why Cena will be retiring sooner rather than later. He pointed out health, outside projects and building a family. However, it should be noted that these are just his speculations and has not been confirmed.

Also, Cena is only 39 years old and at the prime of his career. He has wrestled for almost two decades and his body may not be as durable as it used to be. But he has stated in several interviews that he will never leave the WWE for Hollywood.

Despite that, John Cena has had several outside projects including hosting gigs at the ESPYS and Teen Choice Awards. He also signed a contract with Leftfield Entertainment that will help him produce unscripted reality television shows, per the Hollywood Reporter.

The 39-year-old superstar also has a reality competition show on FOX titled “American Grit.” Lastly, he had roles in successful Hollywood films such as “Daddy’s Home,” “Sisters” and “Trainwreck.” Other WWE superstars that found luck making movies include Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson and Dave “Batista” Bautista.

Expect John Cena to still with the WWE as a wrestler but he may slowly transition to a part-timer like The Undertaker. He can certainly take over that spot in which he wrestles several times per year while also promoting the WWE in his free time.
