WWE Rumors: Kota Ibushi, Gran Metalik sign NXT deals; More CWC competitors to join WWE

The WWE have reportedly signed two Cruiserweight Classic competitors, Kota Ibushi of Japan and Gran Metalik of Mexico. According to the latest WWE rumors, the company might not be done recruiting CWC participants as several names may eventually get signed.

PW Torch (h/t Wrestling Inc.) first reported that the WWE inked Ibushi and Gran Metalik to NXT level contracts. There were a lot of speculations that Ibushi is on the radar of the WWE and they might have pulled the trigger to bring The Golden Star to the United States full-time.

The 34-year-old is one of the best wrestlers in the world not in the WWE. He is going to be a great addition to NXT since the developmental will be raided of talents for the brand extension. Fans will be treated with many Japanese stars in NXT with Ibushi, Shinsuke Nakamura, Hideo Itami and Asuka on its roster.

On the other hand, Gran Metalik is more commonly known in Mexico as Mascara Dorado. He is only 27 years old and will also be viewed as part of the next great talent addition in NXT. He joins former partner La Sombra, or now known as Andrade Almas.

According to What Culture, other CWC competitors that may eventually sign with the WWE include Zack Sabre, Jr, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Akira Tozawa, and Jack Gallagher. The CWC is down to 16 wrestlers with Kota Ibushi as the favorite to win the competition.

The WWE has been scouting many international talents for the past couple of months to replace departing NXT stars such as Finn Balor, American Alpha, Austin Aries and more. Signing Ibushi and Gran Metalik is a great start and it will be more exciting if they can add other names mentioned above.
