Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in the NFL, but he also has a colorful personality known for clowning around and partying. In a recent interview, Gronkowski revealed that he is interested in becoming a WWE superstar after his retirement.

The 27-year-old player is wrestling fan and he is friends with NXT star Mojo Rowley. In the DKTV Truth or Dare interview, Katie Nolan asked Gronkowski if he wants to step into a WWE ring and become a professional wrestler.

The New England Patriots star admitted that he is thinking of joining the wrestling industry upon his retirement from football. He also mentioned that he only wants to be a part-timer. Gronkowski also noted that his ring name will be “The Gronk” and his finishing move is related to spike maneuver.

In an interview with FOX Sports last year, Gronkowski praised the work ethic of his Rawley. He also can’t wait for his friend to get called up to the main roster because he wants to accompany him to the ring.

“He’s my boy and he’s killing it. I love watching him. We were just chilling and we cut a promo together and we had a blast. I can definitely see something in the future. Hopefully, Mojo Rawley starts wrestling a lot and starts doing what he has to do,” Gronkowski said.

The Madden NFL 17 cover star certainly has the build and personality to be successful in the WWE. He is a 6-foot-6, 265-lb athletic freak who can easily thrive in the wrestling business. He has also shown the ability to talk in front of the camera when he filmed a promo with Rawley.

If Gronk joins the WWE, he would not be the first football player to become a wrestler. WWE superstars like The Rock, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Big E, Baron Corbin, Brock Lesnar, Titus O’Neil and Enzo Amore were all former football players but none of them were as successful as Gronkowski in the NFL.
