Randy Orton is set to return to action at SummerSlam when he faces Brock Lesnar in a dream match for many. According to the latest WWE rumors, Orton is expected to lose against Lesnar but he already has a feud set after the biggest event of the summer.

The Viper has been out of action since late September 2015 after suffering a shoulder injury. He is already back training at the WWE performance center and he will be appearing on a special edition of Chris Jericho’s “The Highlight Reel” at Battleground.

According to The Wrestling Observer (h/t Cageside Seats), the outcome of the Lesnar vs. Orton match was already determined before UFC 200. Lesnar is set to win regardless if he won or lost his fight against Mark Hunt.

Another expected high-profile match at SummerSlam is A.J. Styles vs. John Cena II. There is still no clear winner of that feud but the WWE may be inclined to give Cena the win since he lost at Money in the Bank.

With Cena now rumored to be staying on Raw, Styles and Orton may be the top two superstars for SmackDown live. According to Sportskeeda, the two superstars could be feuding after their respective losses at SummerSlam.

It should be noted that these are just rumors but one of the scheduled matches to take at WWE Live Events after SummerSlam is Orton vs. Styles. Even though plans could change, the Orton-Styles feud is going to be a fresh and exciting matchup.

On the other hand, The Club could also be involved in the feud if they were drafted on the same brand as Styles. In an interview with Amarillo Globe-News last month, Karl Anderson revealed that he wants to be involved in a program with Randy Orton.

“I think Randy Orton right now would be pretty cool for me. He’s somebody I look up to. We’re about the same age but he’s been on TV for a long time so it’d be pretty cool to get in there with him,” Anderson said.
