WrestleMania 33 is season will officially start at the Royal Rumble. However, the rumors about possible matches at the event are starting to heat up. The latest speculations point out to the possible matchup between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33?
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (h/t The Inquisitr), the WWE is contemplating making Roman Reigns the Universal champion at the Royal Rumble. He is set to challenge Kevin Owens for the title at the event. There is also a big possibility that The Big Dog will win the match and championship.
It means The Undertaker will have to win the Royal Rumble Match to make it happen. Even betting websites have The Deadman as one of the favorites to win the Rumble along with John Cena and Braun Strowman.
How is The Undertaker’s health?
The Undertaker is already 51 years old and his body has taken a lot of punishment over the years. He recently underwent hip surgery to prolong his career. He returned on the 900th episode of SmackDown Live but he has not made an appearance ever since.
There have been a lot of speculations about his health but it appears the WWE is just waiting for the right time for him to show up on television. According to Ringside News, The Undertaker could make an appearance on the first SmackDown show of 2017 to counter Raw’s episode that will have Bill Goldberg.
Other plans for WrestleMania 33 main event
Besides Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker, there are other matches being planned for WrestleMania 33. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman and The Undertaker vs. John Cena are the two other possible main events of the biggest event of 2017.
