A.J. Styles is going to challenge Roman Reigns again for the WWE World Heavyweight championship at Extreme Rules. According to the latest WWE rumors, The Shield could potentially reunite at the event while Styles may finally from the Bullet Club.

Sports World News is speculating that the WWE may very well proceed to the planned reunion of The Shield at Extreme Rules to swerve the fans.  The scenario will have to involve Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson attacking The Usos to create a 3-on-1 advantage over Reigns.

It will lead to Styles finally forming the WWE version of the Bullet Club at the event with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose helping the champion. Nonetheless, there will be a lot of factors to consider in making The Shield reunion a reality.

Rollins is still not cleared to make his in-ring return from a knee injury that he suffered November last year while he was the WWE champion. He is also filming a WWE studios move along with Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes.

On the other hand, Ambrose is in a feud with Chris Jericho that started right after WrestleMania. If the 50-50 booking will be done by the WWE, Jericho is set to win at Extreme Rules to even out the match-up following Ambrose’s win at Payback.

However, Jericho has hinted on Twitter that he could be finishing up with the WWE and may very well lose again to The Lunatic. Y2J is known to take a long break every year to tour with his band Fozzy as well as other side projects like hosting.

A reunion by The Shield will greatly help Reigns get over to the crowd that still boo him tirelessly. The WWE will just have to come up with a great explanation why Reign and Ambrose will forgive Rollins who betrayed them to join The Authority.

According to Cageside Seats, the feud between Styles and Reigns will last until Money in the Bank in July. Something big needs to happen, The Shield reunion or the Bullet Club forming, to further the story between the two superstars
