The Phenomenal Era Begins

A.J. Styles defeated Dean Ambrose to become the new WWE World Champion at Backlash. However, expect the former champion to ask for a rematch since Styles had to resort a low blow followed by Styles Clash to win the title.

Nevertheless, it is great to see that The Phenomenal One is the WWE World Champion just after eight months in the company. He is also cementing himself as arguably the best wrestler in the world right now.

John Cena to appear?

According to PW Torch, John Cena is advertised to appear in this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. It should be noted that Cena has been off television due to creative reasons and has been wrestling in dark matches and select live events.

Cena is rumored to be next in line for the WWE World Championship but he still has to film the second season of his TV show, “American Grit.” Will the 15-time WWE World Champion make an appearance on television or just in a dark match?

“Becky Balboa” baby!

Becky Lynch became the first ever SmackDown Women’s champion after defeating five other superstars at Backlash. Who will be her first challenger? Natalya, Alexa Bliss or Naomi? Nikki Bella and Carmella are also expected to resume their brewing feud.

Heath Slater signs his SmackDown contract

From being the hottest free agent in the WWE, Heath Slater earned himself a contract from SmackDown after becoming the first ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions with Rhyno. Who will be their first challengers? Are American Alpha and The Usos heading to a collision course to determine the No. 1 contenders?

What’s next for Bray Wyatt?

Many people are wondering who Bray Wyatt pissed off backstage. The Eater of Worlds lost to Kane at Backlash due to interference from Randy Orton, but it did not help his character. Will Bray get his revenge on both superstars this week on SmackDown?
