WWE SummerSlam 2016 will be this Sunday, August 21 and it has a stacked card that is full of very interesting matches. Here are all the things you need to know for the WWE’s biggest event of the summer including previews, predictions, and live stream links.

  • American Alpha, The Hype Bros & The Usos vs. Breezango, The Ascension & The Vaudevillains

SmackDown Live’s tag team division will be showcased… in the kickoff show. Nevertheless, it is a rematch from this week’s episode wherein the faces went out on top. Expect the heels to win this time around as the blue brand slowly builds up its tag team division with a new title to be introduced in the coming weeks.

Prediction: Breezango, The Ascension & The Vaudevillains win via pinfall.

  • Sami Zayn & Neville vs. The Dudley Boyz

Remember when Sami Zayn wrestled a match of the year candidate in last month’s Battleground against Kevin Owens? Well, the WWE forgot to put him in a match at WWE SummerSlam 2016 until they paired him with Neville to take on The Dudley Boyz several days before the big event.

Several rumors are spreading that the Dudleys will be breaking up soon so Zayn and Neville will win this match. However, the most important thing to point out is that the WWE has no idea what to do with two of their most talented wrestlers. Oops, I mean superstars.

Prediction: Sami Zayn & Neville win via pinfall.

  • Cesaro vs. Sheamus (First Match of the Best of Seven Series)

What did WWE do after Cesaro won two matches over Sheamus? Put him in a Best of Seven series against Sheamus to see who the better man is. The Swiss Superman should be up 2-0 and this is a Best of Nine series instead.

However, it’s the WWE and they forget what they booked in the past couple of weeks. With Cesaro up “2-0,” The Celtic Warrior will win this one. It has been awhile since the WWE did a Best of Seven series and it’s likely that Cesaro vs. Sheamus will come down to the seventh match.

Prediction: Sheamus wins via pinfall.

  • Becky Lynch, Carmella & Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss & Natalya

Eva Marie was supposed to be in this match but she joined Paige and Alberto Del Rio in the Nation of Violation stable of suspended superstars. The WWE is teasing a mystery partner for Alexa Bliss and Natalya and the latest rumors suggest that it could be Nikki Bella.

Nikki is coming off a long absence and she will get cheered so teaming up with heels is not a great comeback. My pick for the mystery partner is Maryse. Nevertheless, I think the faces will win this one just because I love Becky Lynch.

Prediction: Becky Lynch, Carmella & Naomi win via pinfall

  • The Miz (C) vs. Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship

As much as I like Apollo Crews’ wrestling skills, the WWE has failed to make him an interesting character. On the other hand, The Miz has reinvented himself especially with his real-life wife, Maryse, as her valet. Crews needs to get over first before being crowned as the IC champion so expect Miz to retain with a little help from Maryse.

Prediction: The Miz retains Intercontinental Championship via pinfall.

  • Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens.

The expected opener of WWE SummerSlam 2016 will set the tone for the night. Enzo Amore and Big Cass have been on a roll ever since their main roster debut and they are set to challenge for the WWE Tag Team championships next.

While Jeri-KO is an entertaining team with two of the best talkers and heels in the WWE, Kevin Owens should be doing better things than putting over tag teams. Rumors have been swirling around that Chris Jericho will be taking a break from wrestling which means his alliance with Owens is not going to last.

Prediction: Enzo Amore & Big Cass win via pinfall.

  • The New Day (C) vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson for the WWE Tag Team Championships

The New Day won the tag team titles in last year’s WWE SummerSlam but all signs point out to their breakup. It starts with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston losing the titles to Gallows and Anderson before the “injured” Big E. says he did not lose the title.

The trio has been the most entertaining act in the WWE for the past two years but it is the right time to break them up. As for Gallows and Anderson, they need to be a dominant tag team before putting over Enzo & Big Cass.

Prediction: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson win the WWE Tag Team titles via pinfall.

  • Sasha Banks (C) vs. Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship

Charlotte will not have Dana Brooke at ringside after Sasha Banks defeated her two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw. The Boss is expected to retain her title following another great match with Charlotte.

Prediction: Sasha Banks retains the WWE Women’s title via submission.

  • Rusev (C) vs. Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

Roman Reigns defeated Rusev in a non-title match this past week on Raw. If the theory of “lose on TV, win on PPV” will apply to this match, The Bulgarian Brute will come out of WWE SummerSlam 2016 still the U.S champion.

The extent of the backstage heat on Reigns for his suspension is still unknown and we will know this Sunday. But if you observe in the past two weeks, Roman Reigns was featured on the main event compared to Finn Balor and Seth Rollins, who are going to fight for the WWE Universal Championship.

Prediction: Rusev retains the United States title via pinfall.

  • John Cena vs. A.J. Styles

The latest and possibly final chapter of the John Cena-A.J. Styles feud will be at WWE SummerSlam 2016. All signs are pointing to Styles going over Cena because he is set to be the next challenger for the WWE World Championship.

Cena is set to miss a couple of months to film the second season of his television show, “American Grit.” Jon Stewart will be at SummerSlam again and there is a chance he cost Cena another match just like he did last year.

Prediction: A.J. Styles win via pinfall.

  • Dean Ambrose (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE World Championship

The buildup for the WWE World title match has been very entertaining and Dolph Ziggler looks motivated to win. The news of the backstage heat on Dean Ambrose for his comments about the creative team means there is a big chance that Ziggler will shock the world.

However, Ambrose is one of the pillars of the future for the WWE and it would be bad booking to quickly lose the WWE world title. Stone Cold Steve Austin lit a fire on The Lunatic Fringe and fans should expect more edgy content from the champion.

Prediction: Dean Ambrose retains the WWE World title via pinfall.

  • Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor for the WWE Universal Championship

The Demon King made his debut this past week on Raw and it would be an even bigger spectacle to watch at WWE SummerSlam 2016 this Sunday. The WWE has no other choice but to make Finn Balor the first-ever WWE Universal Champion since losing in his first match as The Demon King will make it look weak.

Of course, it will be at the expense of Seth Rollins but he will be alright if he does not win the title. The WWE could make a double turn in this match with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson helping Balor win and they form the Balor Club.

Prediction: Finn Balor wins the WWE Universal title via pinfall.

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton

The WWE has been promoting this match non-stop so it will likely be the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2016. Even with all the hype around this match, Brock Lesnar will easily win this match with Bill Goldberg spearing him.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins via pinfall.
