WWE Survivor Series 2016 is slowly building up as the battleground for supremacy between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. Here are the latest WWE Survivor Series 2016 rumors and the updated match card heading into Sunday’s big event.

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg

Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg came face to face this past week on Monday Night Raw but there was not physical confrontation between the two superstars. Goldberg made quick work of the security guards with Lesnar backing down from the brawl.

According to The Inquisitr, the WWE is planning to give the win the Lesnar but the top officials are worried about the Toronto crowd’s response. The fear backstage is that Lesnar vs. Goldberg II could become a disaster just like the first match.

Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman & Seth Rollins) vs. Team SmackDown (A.J. Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton & Shane McMahon) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Team Raw got the upper hand this past Monday on Raw by clearing Team SmackDown off their ring. However, Team SmackDown got some pep talk from two legends these past Tuesday. Edge and The Undertaker made their return and put Team SmackDown members on notice.

There is speculation that Team Raw will get the win after A.J. Styles or possibly The Wyatt Family cost Team SmackDown the match. It will then lead to The Undertaker punishing whoever let the team down and feud with him heading into the Royal Rumble.

Team Raw (Charlotte, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Sasha Banks) vs. Team SmackDown (Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Carmella & Naomi) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match

Unlike with the men’s team, Team SmackDown got the upper hand against Team Raw this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live. The women of the blue brand seem to have more chemistry heading into the WWE Survivor Series 2016.

Team Raw (The New Day, Sheamus & Cesaro, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Enzo Amore & Big Cass & The Shining Stars) vs. Team SmackDown (Heath Slater & Rhyno, The Hype Bros, The Usos, American Alpha & Breezango) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match

The WWE are going to have a hard time booking this match at WWE Survivor Series 2016 since it involves 21 superstars. Nevertheless, expect total chaos in this match with a lot of stories within each team.

The Miz (C) vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship

In this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler to become the new Intercontinental champion. According to Cageside Seats, the main reason why the WWE decided to give The Miz the title is to make Sami Zayn’s win sweeter since it will be a face vs. heel match.

Brian Kendrick (C) vs. Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Brian Kendrick is in a lot of pressure heading into WWE Survivor Series 2016. With Sami Zayn being rumored to win the Intercontinental championship and bring it to Raw, the WWE Cruiserweight championship and the division is expected to be coming to SmackDown.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 will be on November 20, 2016 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada. The show is expected to go four hours long which means there will a few surprise returns, possibly The Rock or The Undertaker, and segments at the event.
